The Woods Ocean Grove is popular for wedding accommodation as we’re one of the only beds in town that welcome one-night stays. Importantly, we also offer our guests late checkouts which is a welcome relief after a big night out. Catching a couple of extra hours sleep and not having to rush out the door is the difference between a bearable or a bad day-after! We also have all the home comforts for getting ready for the big dance, from an iron and ironing board, full length mirror, hooks and coat-hangers, hairdryer and so on.
Most weekends we have guests staying who are attending local weddings, and sometimes we’re lucky enough to score our very own bride, like Jasmin. This pretty lady got married at Oneday Estate, just 10 minutes away, and spent her wedding eve and wedding night at The Woods Ocean Grove. As the sun rose on Jasmin’s big day, she and her bridesmaids had a relaxed morning getting their hair and makeup done on the verandah of the cabins and tucking into our brekky hamper. Before long they were dolled up and Jasmin’s chariot whisked her off and to say “I do”! Here’s a few words from the newlywed.
“What a hidden gem in Ocean Grove. I booked The Woods for the weekend of my wedding and I a so pleased that I did. On arrival there was a beautiful bunch of flowers and champagne on ice for myself and my two bridesmaids – it was such a thoughtful touch. Getting ready at The Woods Ocean Grove on the morning of my wedding was so peaceful and relaxing, everyone in the bridal party loved the accommodation and it was so close to my wedding venue. The wedding night we returned home to the paths lit with candles. It was all of these little extras that made the whole experience magical.”
